Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) Commercial Roofing Systems
Ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane widely used in low-slope buildings worldwide. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas.
EPDM membrane will not leech or emit hazardous chemicals. Unlike non-vulcanized elastomers that may begin curing in the field once exposed to moisture and heat, EPDM membrane has no shelf life. Its physical properties remain stable, which makes repairs much easier in the unlikely event of cuts or tears.
EPDM rubber is an incredibly versatile material, coming in two colors - black and white - and a wide range of sizes. From 7.5 feet to 50 feet long with either 45 mils or 60 mils thick – there’s something for every project.
This product is also available as a non-reinforced or reinforced sheet depending on its intended application.
Even more unique sizes are available for special orders outside traditional roofing applications!
Reinforced membranes offer superior durability and protection. They feature an internal fabric that is fully encased within the EPDM membrane sheet available in various thicknesses to suit your needs – from .045" up to .075".
For added convenience, you can opt for a fleece layer on the underside of the sheet which acts as its own built-in underlayment when applied directly over existing roofs.
